Anyone else looking into majoring in Cognitive Science or Neuroscience? If so, are you guys looking into pre-med or research/grad school and why?

i’m looking at neuro. pre-med since brain surgeons make the most out of any doctors and neuro has always intrigued me

i LOVE NEUROBIOLOGY. what classes are you taking for your neuroscience major?

Lol, I’m not in college yet but strongly leaning towards Cognitive Science b/c Artificial Intelligence interests me alot. Hopefully I’ll still be able to fit in the pre-med reqs too.

I’m also on the fence between Cognitive Science and Neuro. Neuro seems like it can take you farther in terms of grad school/research/medical but cogsci has broader options.

Honestly I’m not too clear on the difference between the two.
Could someone explain briefly?

^^ From what I understand, Cog Sci is more interdisciplinary and deals with more philosophy, computer science, and phsycology (careers in software engineering or IT) whereas Neuro seems more biological (like medical research or doctor).
