love this school. chances?

<p>ok, here are the stats: they are poor but emerson puts a lot of emphasis on students as individuals, which is what attracts me the most. im planning on applying here as a transfer student in 2 years but i want to express interest in it now, i just doubt i could realistically get in. </p>

<p>GPA: 2.5-2.7
SAT:1910 (530 math, 660 writing, 720 reading)</p>

<p>extensive volunteer work amassing about 350 hrs, rough estimate
founded scholarship program, amnesty international, african initiative, cross cultural volunteer work 90 hrs</p>

<p>want to major in journalism:
journalism class taken at highschool
potential internship at newspaper next semester
writing for school paper
writing for periodical at place i volunteer </p>

<p>about 12 years dance, 4 yrs sports </p>

<p>do i have a shot? what would you recommend i do to prepare for an interview or make my application stand out?</p>

<p>Um... well, from what i've heard- your newspaper involvement could push you in. Your GPA is a lot below their's, however.</p>
