<p>North Carolina State is the white land grant school (1864 Morrill Act) for North Carolina so it has engineering and agriculture. North Carolina A and T is the Black land grant school (1890 Morrill Act) in the state, and also has engineering and ag.</p>
<p>As a footnote to nothing, the Morrill Act , and the money it raised for the university, is the reason why we have a statute of Lincoln in front of Bascom Hall, UW-Madison’s equivalent of Old Main.</p>
