<p>I’d say your chances at the moment are 30-40%. Since you are OSS, the bar is set at a very high level. </p>
<p>Your GPA is average (for OSS) and your 1990 SAT score is very below average. You have only taken one SAT II and received a slightly below average score of 710. </p>
<p>Your EC’s look great and your course work seems to be very challenging since you are at a very competitive public school. Your top 3% school rank is also very good.</p>
<p>If I were you, I would focus very deeply on improving your SAT I about 200-250 points. I would also take 2 additional SAT II’s and try to get 700+ on them. You are also going to need excellent essays, teacher rec letters, and a guidance counselor rec. You should take some challenging AP’s next year and try to get A’s in those classes.</p>
<p>I know this sounds like quite an uphill battle but getting into UVa is extremely difficult out of state. With the improvements I suggested, your chances will rise dramatically (up to around 80%).</p>
<p>Thanks for the advice…I will definitely be taking the SAT again and have 6 AP courses lined up for next year. Im just hoping my teachers will write excellent personal recs because there are so many students at my school.</p>
