Loving PACE

My D is a BFA-MT, Class of 2013 at Pace and she is SOOOO happy with her school choice! How are other students adjusting?

I’m thinking that prospective students and parents are reading about schools and narrowing down the schools where they’ll audition, so honest feedback would be helpful!

I think this kind of thing would be great to put on the general mt threads and let people respond about all of the schools. I agree. I think this would be good for students that are looking this year.

LetsSing: It might be helpful for you to elaborate, for example: is your daughter from New York or another State? Why did she choose Pace over other schools? What is it about the program that makes her so happy? This information might invite other Pace BFA students or parents to respond.

We know a lot of non-NYS kids who were accepted and chose to go to Pace this year, some for Acting and some for MT. I’m also curious to know how they are faring, both in the program and in New York City, generally.

Hopefully this bump to the thread will trigger some responses.

In the meantime, I’m glad to know your daughter is enjoying her Freshman experience at Pace!

We won’t be visiting Pace until auditions in January but I’d like to hear more about the school’s facilities, campus and sense of community. I understand that this is a city campus (which has it’s own benefits). I don’t expect to see students playing frisbee on a tree-lined quad. But I have seen some city campuses where there is dedicated space (like a student union) where students can gather & socialize between classes. And I have seen others where there is no such place and it has more of a “commuter school” feel. What is the Pace campus like?
