Loving the graveyard shift!

I don't see why people hate working so late at night or early in the morning. For almost 3 weeks I have been working from 10pm-7am. So my entire day is freed up to do what ever and I have 2 1/2 days off instead of just 2. Its a very easy job just sprucing up the appareal section and playing video games during break. Only downside though is I work at Evil-Mart so im looking for another early job.

Anybody else work graveyard shift?

Graveyard shift is rough... social life is hard, as is sleeping unnaturally during the day. On the the bright side, when you go grocery shopping at night, there's no crowd... it might be fun in its own way, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

When do you sleep?

I've worked the graveyard shifts before. It really depends on where and when you work though. I once stayed overnight at a large bookstore by myself on a Wednesday and Thursday night so I had a great time reading everything on the racks. At the other end of the spectrum, I've also worked in the middle of the party district stuck in a small room all by myself keeping an eye out for vandals on Fridays and Saturdays while everyone else has fun. At the company I worked for, graveyard shifts were generally solitary only.

Oh, and another thing, it really screws up your sleeping schedule. Trying to reorient yourself to a regular day-night schedule is hard as hell after working three months of night shifts, four to six days a week, 40-60 hours per week.
