i’m a stressed junior and i need at least a 30 for the colleges of my dreams.i have seen many people get 33s without trying and i get 21s current but i am working on my act score and i have improved english by 8 points now. For those of you who get anything above a 30, what is your study routine? do you study everyday? how do you study everyday?
hello, i’m also a junior How I studied ACT was to study at least one section a day. For example, you take the English section on one day and math the next day. If you are weak in a particular section, I recommend you focusing your practice on that. This way, you take about two practice exams a week, which is still great considering other stuff like schoolwork and subject tests. I first tried to take the full exam in a single day to get used to the long hours of the actual test but that ended up giving me too much stress and made me avoid studying it Good luck, I hope you score a 30!
Get the red book, it’s a life saver!
@itshalimathenerd there is no such thing as a 33 without studying -_-. Unless previously studied for SAT that is near impossible. Also lets just say they did go in blind, they couldn’t have figured out that in science you jump straight to questions and don’t read any of the graphs. For math use Amsco act math and science(very helpful for math) Go through the whole book and 36s on math are a breeze. For English (my worst) use The complete guide to act english. Reading I was always good at didn’t need prep same with science. Took me a year to go from the 26 I got freshman year to get a 34 sophomore year (31 36 36 32). I come home from school at about 2:30 played around on my phone and ate for an hour then from 3:30 to 6:30 non stop act prep 6:30 and hour break to eat and play then homework (time varied)
thx alot
