<p>You are right AZGrove, and thank you for commenting on my forum!! I mean, I studied for months for the ACT! I started last March and also studied throughout the whole summer, including the first couple months of this school year. I even got two tutors. It just never worked for me. I mean, my ECs are outstanding , but test scores are more important. Eh, oh well</p>
<p>If you explain the reasons for your low grades freshman year then some colleges may overlook it. Some schools don’t even take freshman year into consideration. I know vanderbilt is one of those. Colleges love upward trends anyway.
