Low cost college for computer science major

Your GPA is good but the scores, not so much. Look at LACs that give a lot of FA but are score optional that have CS.

Good luck. Remember a true safety school must be attractive to attend and affordable. If anyone reads this in the future. If you can’t make it work financially it is automatically not a safety.

I will second NJIT if you think you can get instate tuition. Your test scores are slightly below 50% mark for NJIT, but should be ok, I think. Would also recommend Rowan and Montclair. Would not recommend WPU, Kean or NJCU. Again, all of this assumes that you are instate for NJ. If not, then community college at NJ would be an option if you can live with relative in NJ. Community colleges have tranfer articulation and NJIT and the state colleges I have recommended are transfer -friendly. I am an NJ resident and teach at an NJ college, so pretty familiar with the programs available.
