Ok so my SAT is as follows:
Math: 750
CR: 550 (Terrible, i know)
Writing: 680
My weighed gpa is somewhere around 4.2.
Will my CR score be a deal breaker to unis like cornell, harvey mudd, georgia tech, nyu, uiuc?
Planning to major in CS.
I've heard CS admissions focus more on math score. Is that true?

is english your second language?

They will focus more on math, but they still want a high CR, for CS scores work like this… Math > CR > Writing. Really the only justification for the score is if English is your second language or you are a terrible tester (which is clearly not the cased based on your other two scores).

Yes it’s true that CS or engineering majors focus on math score… I say if you want to major in CS at NYU, apply to the Polytechnic school of engineering. You got a good chance for that and poly is better for CS than College of Arts of Sciences. Yes… NYU officially will have an engineering school.

No english is not my second language, thats wats pathetic. And if ur talking about the polytechnic institute of NYU. I checked.that out on collegeboa

Collegeboard and didnt really like it. I mean a 60% graduation isnt too appealing. Thats why a prefer the original NYU. and sorry for the split post. My phone acted up.
