I'm a white male junior in high school right now, middle class, living in Oregon. My dream college would be Stanford(Grandfather alumni, valedictorian), but I don't know if I'm even close to that. My safety is Oregon State, which I can get automatic acceptance into. Other choices I've looked into are University of Washington, Cal Berkeley, and University of Oklahoma. Going for an engineering degree, undecided specifically which branch yet.

3.87 GPA (Unweighted)
Class rank: 36/456
SAT: 2050 (Going to retake) (700 Math, 700 Reading, 650 Writing)
ACT: 33
Planning on taking some SAT2 Subject tests before my junior year ends.

I also got a 225 on my PSAT, which should be good enough for me to earn National Merit Finalist or at least Semi-finalist, which should help me.

AP Courses:
US History (4) - Only offered AP class for sophomores
Physics C Mechanics (Ongoing)
Physics C Electrostatics & Magnetism (Ongoing)
Language and Composition (Ongoing)
Computer Science (Ongoing)
Calculus AB (Ongoing)
Statistics (Senior Year)
Chemistry (Senior Year)
Calculus BC (Senior Year)
Government (Senior Year)
Literature (Senior Year)

All of my current ongoing AP classes I have A's in and my teachers believe I should have no trouble getting a 4 or 5 on them. I also have 3 years of German.

My extracurriculars are where I feel like I'm going to struggle:
4 years of Band, Marching and Symphonic, with a leadership position
2 years of Recreational basketball
Trying really, really hard to get an internship at a technology company this summer. Possibly doing a summer program at Stanford or at least at a nearby college over the summer.

The only achievement I can think of is receiving an award recognizing me as the top student in the physics department at my high school last year.

Thanks in advance for chancing me!
