low G.P.A

I have a really low gpa a 2.679 uw and a 2.58w. thats from freshman and sophomore year. my grades have gotten so much better this year. im taking 1ap course and 1 honors course that i have As and Bs in. so heres my question. if i get all As and one maybe two B's for my junior year grades, what will my GPA rise up to by the beginning of senior year. will it be possible to get a 3.2 GPA by the time i start applying to colleges.

how many classes all together?

yeah, it really depends on what classes you take and your school’s weighting system

That’s not really all that bad. I remember one semester I got a 2.2W and a 1.86 UW. I’m still in the top10 at my school, though, cause I brought myself together during the remainder of my high school years

what was the rest of your school smoking, easton…=/

im taking
geo
as2 hnrs
ap gov
art of the essay/politics in govt
forensics/astronomy
child growth and development
gym

and its weighted on a 4.0scale. but ap and honors are 5.0…thanks for the replys

a w gpa lower than an uw gpa? typo, correct?

Here’s a couple of choices:
a) Become a nuclear country and threaten U.S. to bump your GPA 0.6 points.
b) Take everyone hostage and threaten your school to bump GPA up 0.6 points.
c) Find out about your principal’s secret third identity and visits to French gay bar and blackmail him.
d) Hack into lame-Windows-running server of your school system and change GPA to 3.2.
e) (not for teh real men, an option for girls and nerds) Work hard and smart toward high grades for the goal you need.

^^ ahahahha nice

How can you have a lower weighted grade than unweighted?

im gonna assume its because i hadnt taken any honors or ap’s…but thats what it says on my report card…but in all seriousness is it possible to still get a 3.2uw

bumb (10chars)

@mr, chipset,

I’d suggest a., only fools would choose e!

so can anyone help me out please? is it possible to get a 3.2?

For this year or overall?
It depends, dude. How does your school calculate GPA per year? My school averages every marking period grade as 80% and then takes the average of the midterm and final for the other 20%. If your school does something similar, then I’m sure that you can get your GPA up to a 3.2, but you’ll have to work very hard for it. Good luck though.

You’ll apply to colleges before completing your first semester of senior year, so you’ll have essentially 3 years of school calculated into your GPA. The average for 2 of those years is 2.679 UW and 2.58 W. A 3.2 UW GPA would be impossible, and to get a 3.2 W you’d have to get a W grade of 4.44 junior year.
