Low GPA, amazing SAT and extracurriculars, chances?

Please chance me at getting into USNA. I’ve already been nominated by a Congressman, just waiting for my results now. It’s been my dream of going for years.

GPA: 3.0 (unweighted)
Class rank: N/A, school does not rank, but I’m not in the top 50%
Class rigor: All honors. School does not do APs.
ACT: 32
SAT: 1950, will not submit
SAT II: Math 2 630, U.S. History 750, will not submit
Extracurriculars:
Eagle Scout
Varsity letter in swimming, track, basketball, lacrosse
Won state for basketball and track two years in a row, went to state every year

I’m in Oregon. White middle-class male.

Honestly I would be surprised if I didn’t get in. I feel like besides my grades I have everything USNA could want. What does CC think?

Hey, I think despite your GPA you are very well rounded and your application is solid, I was hoping you could tell me how you were able to get the nomination? I’m currently a junior and need to be planning for next year when I apply, thanks! Good luck getting in!

I agree. I’m a bit confused about what you mean by your class rank (are you below or above 50%?), but your test scores are great and you seem to have a strong athletic background as well. Have you attended NASS?
I also have a question for everyone:

  1. Does anyone know how many LOA’s the academies give out at the summer seminars and what the qualifications are for them?
  2. Do applicants in MD deal with more competition as USNA is located in MD? It is just a myth that I heard but wasn’t sure about.
I wish you the best of luck @gilly2forest . Thank you all in advance.
