<p>A 2.7 GPA is low, but is not terrible. My son had the same situation, went to a private college on half scholarship, for 3 semesters. Had a 2.92 GPA in engineering. Needed a 3.0 GPA for the scholarship. The scholarship was cancelled, he appealed, and lost. Then he went to CC for one semester, applied to our state 4 year college, was accepted, and will be going there in Fall. There is always another way to accomplish your goals if you are determined.
