@meadow36 - I have. And quite a few people from my school have gotten into wharton with sub 3.8s. They were above 3.7s though (other than the URMs)

Besides, the fact of the matter is, if you’re a 4.0… you’re still on the edge :)

Again, though, it really depends on school. The * average * from my school is below 3.7 (3.68), and there’s a few in there hovering just above 3.

89.7 (3.56) unweighted, 98.7 (4.0/4.1) weighted.
top 22%, 32 ACT
took the most rigorous curriculum offered (no one takes what i did), asian from maine, extenuating circumstances soph + jr year

What is a 97.444 unweighted on the 4.0 scale?

I’m a little worried because even though I’m Val. this year, for years before me, the vals all had like 99 something unweighted averages. Last year’s val went to Hamilton, the year before MIT, and the year before that to Dartmouth and the year before that Cornell… I guess you can say that my school isn’t THAT competitive then (we haven’t sent anyone to HYPS in a decade or longer) Will that count against me for when I’m applying to Wharton?

Oh wow. That guy is pretty lucky. I’m more hopeful now!

A 3.79UW at our school is pretty darn low… I’d say around rank 50/450.
There are 3 other UPenn ED applicants from our school. But they are applying to JF and other programs… it’s really mediocre for me ;( Oh well!
