And If you can give some general advice, I would appreciate it.
Thank you for whoever takes time to read my post :)

13.8% admission rate? i dont know it looks hard to get into. Good luck and apply though. you never know, you mite get in. Make sure you write i your essays that you are from Korea. good luck.

thank you for very quick reply.
Yes… it is one of the toughest schools to get into… But just trying
But again, thank you. I hope that “you never know” can happen.

My brother goes to Harvey Mudd, so I know how awesome the Claremonts are. It’s tough for anybody and your gpa won’t do you any favors. But they are also schools concerned with the person as a whole, so as long as you can explain everything to them, im sure you have just as much of a chance as the next guy given your interesting experience. Good luck!

Thank You, Clark39…
Wow… harvey mudd… yes…
Thanks for a hopeful comment! :)

GPA is definitely low, but the rest of your ap is very good. Ed should help you there, so apply and there is nothing to lose! Just make sure to explain why your GPA is low and how you made improvements to your study habits and how moving around was tough for you, but that you experienced it you learned how to adjust.

Thank you patritsfan1 for a thoughtful advice…
I can talk about that.

Your EC list is awesome, but try to bring up your GPA just a little. your Tests score are set to go. The thing is, Claremont has much more of a holisitic views than other colleges, so they’ll look at you as a person, not just a number. I think you have a great shot, my korean brotha.

I could see your ECs getting you into Claremont Mckenna regardless of your low grades. Everything besides your grades makes you a great candidate for the school, I think they’ll overlook them.

I really see that as a whole person, you should be good, do what you can to help that gpa a little, but also main thing NAIL THE ESSAYS!! I really think you have a shot, good luck!

your Ecs are great! Just focus in on ur essay and get solid recs and u have a shot! Good luck!!

thank you guys. i dont think ec will get me in. ut i hope it czn improve my chances and make up for low gpa. thank you for hopeful comments

You have a good chance… your ECs are good as are your test scores. Try to score 50-100 points higher on this fall’s SAT to compensate for your low GPA.

If you do well in sports-related classes such as certain bio or management classes i think they’ll overlook your faults because you seem to have a passion for athletics. Dont know much about CM but maybe look into other sport-heavy schools.

I agree with the above poster. Boosting your SATs can help quite a bit. Nice sports and good ECs. You should try other sports heavy schools but you have a chance here due to the long list of ECs.

Great ECs. I’m sure you can write a great essay about one of those experiences. Do what you can with your GPA and study hard to raise that CR score. A better SAT score is the best thing I think you can do right now. Good luck!

thanks i hope i can do better on my last sat and im not really an athlete but sports especially soccer is my passion and i want to work in soccer industry some day. but thank you guys

I agree with the fact that boosting SAT can help to counteract your low GPA. And i see you love soccer, same here =). Apply, you never know.

Very nice resume. If you just get your SAT’s up a little bit, you’ll be fine. Your EC’s are great; it will definitely set you apart from most other people.

thanks i will work on my sat!
