Low GPA, but I made it to wikipedia

How do you write a chance thread without sounding arrogant or revealing identifiable information?

College List:
BC
GW
Georgetown
BU
Wesleyan
NYU

and some safeties...

3.63 GPA ( this makes me cringe )
30 ACT

What sets me apart is my EC's. I founded what is now a successful international charity and am fairly well known for what I do.

How much can EC's outweigh a low GPA like this?

The thread title was mostly to attract attention...but if it's any indication of my success ( and I can name about 20 teachers who would not call this an indication of success) I'm frequently featured on TV, in newspapers, and yes, someone made a wikipedia page on me... I don't mention this to sound like a jerk, but I will be known for my charity work, not really my academics.

I have good recommendations and a one in a million essay topic

what do you think? ideally i would like to be in DC so georgetown is my numero uno

Georgetown will depend on how significant of an achievement your founding of a charity really is because it’s hard to make up for a 3.63 and a 30 ACT. You seem in good shape for all the other schools on your list, though.

yeah. your big hook will definately be a plus. but it depends how large a role that plays in the admission decision. Your gpa and acts are not that bad, but for schools like georgetown and bc, they are a bit on the low side…but i wish you all the best and good luck especially with gtown
