Low GPA but not too shabby I hope...? Chance me for UCs!

I’m a junior in high school (at a competitive one too in SoCal) and was wondering what UCs to apply for. My list:

Total GPA (W): 4.03 (UnW): 3.71
UC GPA (W): 4.11 (UnW): 3.58
I’ve gotten 9 Bs and 21 As (from 9th grade till 1st semester of junior yr) but I’ve been having a descending curve with 4 Bs in first semester of junior year (but now I'm suddenly doing much better with all As, i think something just clicked in my head, wish it had clicked earlier...); but if I hold all of my As for spring semester my UC GPA will rise to a 4.25 (W) and 3.68 (UnW)
In the top 10% but not sure where exactly

SAT I: 2210 M:750 W:690 CR:800
PSAT: 214
SAT II: US History: 740
Math II: 800
(will be taking Physics and Spanish this June)

ACT: will take in June

AP Scores:
So far only AP US History: 5
Will be taking Calc BC, Physics B and Eng. Lang. tests this year
Freshman: none offered
Soph: AP US History
Junior: AP Calc BC, AP Physics, AP Eng. Lang
Senior: AP Comp. Science, AP Spanish, AP Eng Lit, AP Chem, and maybe AP Stats

Classes: all the ones marked with (W) gets the extra pt for being honors/APs
Frosh: Dance Tech 1; H Algebra 2 (W); H Crd Sci 1; English H; Global Perspectives; Spanish 2
Sophomore: AP US History(W); H Chemistry(W); H Crd Sci 2; H English 2A; H Pre-Calc A(W); Spanish 3A
Junior: AP Calc BC(W); AP Eng Lang A(W); AP Physics A(W); Beg Ceramics; Dance Tech 2; Spanish 4A (W)

ECs:
Competitive Dance Team for 6 years (and ongoing); we’ve won many regional and county competitions; Also performed at school’s dance shows every year
Volunteer @ Fine Arts Center for 3 years (and ongoing) 100+ hours so far…? (I plan to rack up more over summer)
Middle School tutor (every week after school) started in 11th grade-ongoing (also more volunteer hours)
Tutor for families w/English Lang as second language 10th-ongoing (more volunteer hours)
Indian Student Association: VP (senior yr) but been in it since 10th grade
American Heart Association: Treasurer since 11th
Craft Club: Secretary since 11th (in club since 9th)
Art Charity Club: Treasurer since 10th, but planning to become VP for 12th
National Honors Society
Magna Cum Laude since 9th Grade (above 4.00 GPA)
Class Recognition in 9th Grade
1st place at Neema Dance Competitions (1 year); 2nd place for 2 years
Art; I don’t like doing competitions and I realize that decision might cost me but I decided to make a website for most of my artwork to send to college; I’d rather draw for relaxation (not like doodling on notes) but draw without having time constraints or restrictions which competitions place; I've had my artwork shown in a newspaper and school auctions so I'm planning to show that off

Over summer 2011:
I’ve been wait-listed for COSMOS 2011 UCSD but if I don’t get in, I’m planning to do the following:
Take college classes for computer programming
Job at Laguna Beach Festival of Arts (secured)
More volunteering at Fine Arts Center/Science Museum (secured)
For the past summers, I’ve been going to India and helping out at local temples and nurseries; also, going to India was not an option since my family lives there so I couldn’t do much over the past summers in CA; for example, I’ve gotten lots of offers for summer programs and leadership conferences but didn’t go because I had to go to India

Planning to get recs from my math and Spanish teacher and I know them well so I think my recs will be fine
Good essays getting lots of feedback from seniors and teachers

I’m hoping to get into some UCs or private colleges for computer science and I realize that my low GPA and descending curve will hinder me; but please chance me into the UCs, especially UCSD, LA, Berkeley, Davis or Irvine; also any recommendations for good private colleges with my stats would be great too! Thanks!

I would say you’re in at all UCs through San Diego.
UCLA is a little bit of a reach for you, but I would not be the least bit surprised if you got in.
As for Cal, I wouldn’t count on it. Cal engineering (especially) is world-class, and very very competitive.

As for private colleges some good choices would be Northeastern, UI Urbana Champaigne (spell check?), USC (although maybe not for CS–you’re a decent match) and

I’m really worried though cuz many of my senior friends with stats better than these were rejected by the UCs (LA, SD and Berkeley) but thank you for the encouragement!
When you said “As for Cal” what did you mean by “Cal?” what college is that?
I’m having a hard time narrowing down the list of colleges so thank you for the recommendations!

^ Cal is Berkeley

thanks for clearing that up!

bump!

so many views…please help!

bump

You will have no trouble getting into the UCs, with UCLA being a match and Berkeley being the only reach.
How is it that your UW GPA and UW UC GPA are different?

Our school has two sets of GPAs, one for grades 9-12 and the other being UC, 10-11
My total (9-12) UnW GPA is 3.71 while my UC (10-11) UnW is 3.58
