JamesChang, I’ve heard the same, but I still have to write a pretty amazing essay for them to even consider me. :/

Hmom5, thanks for being realistic. I am trying to improve my test scores and I’m hoping that they will compensate, at least a little bit, for my low GPA.

Yosup, I know my GPA sucks. I know I can do better on the ACT (I screwed up on the Science section when I got my 32). So I’m just doing some light prep when I’m done with homework and whatnot. I know I can do better, so why not, right? My Senior year grades look like they should be pretty good. I know it’s the beginning of the year, but right now I have straight As except for a B in AP Lit. After the October ACT, I’ll be fully dedicated to college applications and my grades. I’m also hoping that a good 1st semester GPA will help me when/if I decide to appeal.

Thanks everyone! Keep the chances/advice/suggestions coming!
