<p>Disqualification for what? I don’t really know about that. Well anyway, don’t worry…you’re put on academic probation first and you have till spring to get your GPA up. You only get kicked out if you don’t improve by then.</p>
<p>^ Actually that applies to lower than 2.0, but more than 1.5.
Some schools actually might suggest dismissal if you have a quarter of less than 1.5.
But always talk to a counselor first. They can help sort out the issue and possibly just put you on academic probation (especially if there are extenuating circumstances). Good luck!</p>
<p>Talk to your counselor. Is there a legitimate reason you got such a low GPA or were you just fooling around because it’s your first quarter and you thought you would be fine? If you don’t have a good reason, then it’s really likely that you will get kicked out of your major and possibly even out of the school. There’s no way you could get such a low GPA in your first quarter without a legitimate excuse.</p>
