<p>I had a 3.2 GPA freshman year of High School, but got my stuff together and maintained a 3.85-3.9 the rest of it. How badly would this affect my application?</p>
<p>Hope you’ll get an answer from someone who knows. My kid is in the similar boat. Depending on the application, there may be a spot that you can explain how you realized and raised up your GPA.</p>
<p>While it might put you at an overall lower GPA than other applicants, colleges should view your upward trend in a positive light at least.</p>
