You have a very good chance at making all of these schools. I am saying this because of ur course rigor and high standardized test scores.
I think you’re selling yourself a bit short on your list of target schools (unless those are the ones you are truly set on). I think you have a decent chance at getting into some other undergrad B schools. Though, Kenan-Flagler and NYU are definitely among of the best. Why not UCB? UMich? Also, why UT Austin? Do you want to live in Texas after college? I wouldn’t.
Have you taken calculus? Colleges on your list will expect it.
Second, what’s your parents’ budget?
Due to your involvement in DECA and Robotics, you could add Penn M&T as a reach (check out MEAM for instance).
UArizona makes no sense: ASU Barrett would be much more appropriate (one of the top honors colleges in the country).
UT Austin is highly unlikely unless you’re a legacy, due to being a state school that primarily serves state residents. It’s as much of a reach as UNC CH, perhaps more if you’re aiming for BHP.
In addirion to SDSU as a safety, Miami Ohio would be an excellent safety, and UMN Twin Cities Carlson would be a match with likely merit aid (plus you’d have a URM boost there).
I’d add Fordham and American.
Look into Penn state and UMass Amherst? Syracuse? Hamilton, Middlebury, Colgate all have very high East coast business placements.
@MYOS1634 why would you say that? The OOS acceptance rate is twice as high as UNC’s and the students applying to UT are probably not as high caliber
Because the acceptance rate is due to all students in Texas getting in if they are top 7%. That makes 75% of all admits. So, 75% of the total is a 100% admit.
Then they admit some more students from Texas with a good but not top 7% class rank and excellent curriculum rigor/test scores.
Those comprise 90% of all freshman admits.
Then remember UT admits athletes who may or may not be instate and often aren’t top 7-10%.
Then only do they look at OOS applicants. Oos athletes+ unhooked oos students = 7% of the freshman class.
The acceptance rate for an unhooked OOS applicants to one of the most selective colleges is likely under 10%- and much lower for BHP.
@student30294 I am a California resident, so I am planning on applying to UCB anyways. However, when it comes to more competitive schools, I think that my lower GPA will make it hard for me to get in.
@MYOS1634 Thank you for your advice! I will definitely look into those schools. I was going to apply to UMass, but I wasn’t sure if I could get in.
