Low GPA/High ACT Score (ED or RD?)

Ok this is my dilemma. I have a low GPA, it's about 3.72 currently (weighted). But I have a decently high ACT score at 33 (35 in Science, which might help because I want to major in Biology). Lots of extracirrulars including most of the usual and some athletics.

I am taking 5 AP classes my senior year alone, and I am fairly confident I can get straight A's this semester which will boost my GPA to around a 3.89 if I calculated correctly. I'm half URM, and come from a (I'm guessing) low-income family under 50,000/year.

Since I'm hearing mid-year reports dont matter much in ED's, should I wait and apply RD so that I can boost my GPA with my semester grades? Or should I just go ahead and do an ED and hope they overlook the GPA?

If your serious about JHU, go ahead and apply ED. You should get in.

contact your admissions rep. and ask what can be done to help you get in.

but JHU would also have to be your first choice school, and yes, apply ED if you're SERIOUS.
