Low GPA High SAT balance

<p>So my GPA is a bit low (3.4 uw) b/c I go to a very competitive school. BUT my SAT is relatively high (2100 800M 600CR 700WR).</p>

<p>So lets say College A's average GPA is 3.7 and there avg SAT is 1900</p>

<p>What are my chances at this college? Would it be considered a match or reach?</p>

<p>That was a random example but Georgia Tech's avg gpa is 3.71 and their avg sat was 1992
so could i consider that a match or reach?</p>

<p>Depends on how rigorous the curriculum is and, if your school ranks, the class rank.</p>

<p>im in the same boat. 3.2 GPA 2290 SAT, 800math.</p>

<p>I would call a school a low reach in that situation. From the schools I have talked to they care more about grades then scores.</p>
