I know my gpa is pretty bad, but I think I have a pretty good SAT score and I took a bunch of APs.

I want to apply to uc davis, university of washington (in state), ut austin, nyu, Illinois - urbana champaign, ucsd, boston university, usc, georgetown, university of michigan, and cmu.

I know that some of them like georgetown and cmu might not be possible, but please let me know what other schools would be matches for me!

What major are you considering applying as? Your test scores are one of your strengths and your GPA is one of the weaker points, as I’m sure you understand.
Do you have any scores for your 8 APs; if so please let us know.

yeah I got 5’s on six of them. I got 4’s on Calc AB and APUSH.

Good Chance:
UC Davis
U Dubb
BU
Illinois- Urbana Champaign (this might change if you plan on being an engineering major)

Ok Chance:
UT Austin
NYU
USC (Ok to low chance)

Low Chance:
cmu
U mich
Georgetown

If I’m wrong let me know guys

got into NYU with a lower GPA and SAT. I think NYU is a solid chance for you

I think you’re shooting a bit low. A 4.0 upwards trend is impressive along with amazing test scores. Your ECs are definitely solid as well. Hit up some Ivies or Ivy level schools, you might be surprised.

intended major?

I’d say you have a decent chance at upper level schools. Your EC’s are very solid, your test scores are amazing, and although your GPA is lower, the upward trend looks very good. Just write some good essays explaining your grades and you’ll be a very good looking applicant. Just make sure to apply to some safeties, but I can see you are thinking about that. Good luck! Chance back?
