“I should probably get a 2300 (I know I’m being really optimistic/snobbish but I think it’s possible) without too much hassle this year.”

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that’s unlikely to happen. Your PSAT score translates to a 2100 on the SAT, and it’s going to be difficult to raise that 200 points, no matter how much test prep you do.

Your EC’s are very interesting in my opinion. Graduate level research, published writer, etc… all pretty cool. If your UW GPA was higher, you’d have a shot at most schools listed.

But you don’t unless you can raise that GPA significantly. It’s heartbreaking, and I’m sorry to have to be the one to tell you. But a 3.46 UW GPA is unheard of at Columbia and Cornell unless you’re a recruited athlete or extremely poor applicant who had to single-handedly support a family. You’re almost definitely not getting into those schools with that GPA. I’m not sure if anyone else will tell you that, but I think you need to know. It’s really a shame because you look like a pretty interesting applicant.

Columbia - Very high reach
Cornell - Very high reach
Penn - Very high reach
Northwestern - High reach
Amherst - Very high reach
CMU - Mid reach (still unlikely)
Wash U - High reach
Emory - High reach
Williams - Very high reach
UMich - Low reach (You have a very decent chance at UMich. Definitely apply, there’s a good chance you’ll get in.)
Berkeley - Very high reach

EDIT: Sorry, I didn’t see that you’re only a rising junior. IF you can get all A’s next year, and next year is the crucial point for you, then your chances will change. These chances are for your current GPA).
