In-state or out?

Whether you’re in state or out will play a role. But I think a big positive for you is that your GPA has improved a lot year by year, especially with the 3.7 and 4.0 for your last two years. That’s a plus, as it shows the uni that you’re improving in your study skills and academic habits, even while taking on more EC responsibilities, and I think that will help you even though your overall GPA is not extremely high.

You obviously have the raw materials but the question will be asked, what happened to the grades. You will need a compelling story as to why the results do not reflect the potential. As mentioned, residency will factor in to the decision. I did have a high school classmate with similar stats who ended up at Duke so, it is not out of the question. Best of luck to you.

@chud182‌ @Mynaaa‌ I am out of state. Thank you for the feedback, though.
