Currently a Junior.

GPA: 2.45 UW, 3.03 W
SAT: 1470/1600, 2100/2400 (670 R, 800 M, 630 W)

I have an average resume otherwise, regarding extra-curriculars, leadership, and community service.

I know it is not an option to go to any top school due to my unfortunately low GPA, but if anyone has any schools to suggest, I would love to hear! Looking to major in Business.

Thanks

Hey, any opinions?

I don’t know exactly what to say – your GPA and SAT correlation don’t even exist. I’m not going to ask what happened to your GPA since i’m not one to be nosy, but you need to have a ready, honest, and thorough explanation. I don’t even know of any schools that take a 3.03 weighted GPA.

You can get into just about every state school out there with those test scores and GPA. And yes, you will still have a fulfilling college experience and live a happy and successful life. There are thousands of options to you even if Harvard isn’t one of them.

“You can get into just about every state school out there with those test scores and GPA”

Bad generalization. In states like mine (NC) - UNC is a top 25 school in the country, and NC State is one of the best engineering schools in the country with really high math requirements for most majors.

Your SAT might be good, but your GPA will show a lack of work ethic. You’re probably very smart, but it doesn’t mean anything if you can’t work hard. If you don’t get accepted into any schools you really want to go to, build a strong GPA at a CC and try to transfer.
