^^but for these, it is more the audition that matters

I'd say your in to FSU with your stats - only factor is you're OOS. But still, I think your stats and your passion for music is a match at FSU. Your GPA is falling a bit behind what's usually admitted to FSU, but I think if you pull off great recs and a nice essay you're in. Go for it! :)

This thread is meaningless without a recording of your playing/singing. Awards, chairs, ensembles, and amount of time spent playing each instrument are equally meaningless, as each state's standard of playing is so varied. (You'll have to take my bluntness with some salt, as I too am a musician and know all to well that talk is cheap.) Your SATs are very mediocre and your GPA is less respectable still. That said, if you truly are a gifted musician and have a great audition, you will have no trouble with admission at any of those schools listed. Are you planning on being a vocal performance major or clarinet major? What clarinet repertoire do you have in your fingers?

I completely understand the bluntness, so it's all good. Unfortunately I don't have a mic right at this moment so I can't record anything, but i will soon. As far as choosing between vocal or clarinet performance, that is what is freaking me out cause I just can't decide. Ah well.. I'll do it soon.

You may want to post on the Music Major board - lots of people there with experience in music program acceptances. With regard to conservatory admission, your private teacher or teachers should be able to give you an idea of your qualifications. Acceptance in some of these programs is less than 10% but it depends on the instrument. I am assuming you have private teacher(s)- admission into a conservatory environment without private instruction is not very realistic. It is unfortunate that the honors in music will mean little to conservatories - or top music programs. It will come down to the audition so your teacher should have a good idea by now how the audition repertoire is coming along. Overall, assuming you have put together good repertoire, FSU is an excellent choice.
