Low GPA offers incredible potential

Is anyone else amazed at the many on LSN who have 3.0-3.3 GPAs and >170 LSATs and get accepted to Top 10 law schools?

That amazes me. To think of the potential that someone can have with just about any GPA over 3.0. The LSAT is incredibly big for law school admissions.

One word: legacy.

Grade inflation is no secret, and high GPAs are a dime a dozen.

On the other hand, it is terribly difficult to score 170+ on the LSAT, and high scorers are becoming increasingly scarce, due to the press coverage that the law school scam has received.

Yea, I’ve read the statistics on the LSAT scores over the years that show numbers of scorers between 140-150 increasing while those scoring between 160 and 170 are falling off the wagon. It sucks for those so interested in the profession today to have to deal with all the bull **** behind it going down the toilet. Engineering and medicine are much more respectable as professions than law. It’s sad.
