Hello, im a student in a california community college
Im wishing to transfer to a computer engineering major but I have a pretty low gpa 2.8
I really want to transfer to a UC or any other good universities
But it seems like most schools require a higher gpa…
I wanted to know if there were any other undergrad programs that I could apply to and have a pretty high rate of getting accepted.
Have you tried a TAG for one of the UC’s? It should help. Also, you don’t have to go to a UC to major in CS. You can transfer to a Cal State. Talk to a counselor at your CC to discuss your options.
If you’re willing to change to computer science, UCSC seems to have a pretty good program.
You can still apply to any of the UC’s as a regular transfer, but you need to meet the minimum TAG GPA of 3.0 at UCSC/UCM or 3.1 at UCR at time of application. It is worth an application for these 3 schools and also take a look at some of the Cal States.
