LOW GPA transfer

Hello! I currently go to a small liberal arts college in Massachusetts. My GPA is a dismal 2.1 after a tough freshman year & a short lived stint as a pre-med. I did awful in chemistry which slaughtered my GPA. I am now an Econ major after figuring out where my true passions lie. I want to transfer for many reasons, but mostly for a fresh start. My GPA definitely makes that almost impossible, but I really am yearning for a chance to leave. Would St. John’s be a possibility with my GPA? I do have some significant EC’s if that makes a difference. My EFC is extremely low as well, if that is of any relevance. Since St. John’s has rolling admissions, it is possible for me to apply after second semester to get my GPA higher. Would that be of any benefit to me? Please let me know. Thank you so much!
