Low GPA - UCSC chances?

So I just visited the UCSC campus, and absolutely fell in love with it. It's my number one choice, but I'm worried about my chances. I got into a bit of a lazy spell in the 10th and 11th grades, and that seriously damaged my GPA. My test scores are pretty good, but I don't know if they're good enough to make up for the grades. Do you think I have a chance?

Weighted GPA: 3.1

SAT I: 2090 (800 c.r., 690 writing, 600 math)
-haven't taken my SAT II's yet, but I'm pretty confident I'll get at least 700 in both

Class rank: top 25%

2 APs (scores 4 and 5), plus 3 more in senior year
-4 honors classes

-volunteered 50 hours at an animal shelter
-3 years of mentoring young kids at a marine biology weekend camp

-member of academic club 2 years
-member of world awareness and relief club for 2 years
-member of invisible children club for 1 year

-black belt in Tae Kwon Do, but became less active 2 years ago (but do they really have to know that since it's not through school?)

So, any opinions would be awesome. I'm just kind of lost right now, and don't know where I stand. How much does my GPA hurt me?

Thanks!

Your gpa will be the only thing stop them from accepting you say I would say 80% chance.
