Low gpa would applying as undecided give me better chance than nursing

My top colleges I'm applying too have nursing as their most competitive major and I wanna be a nurse freshman to junior year got 2.2 unweighted first quarter senior year got 3.500 should I apply as undecided then the year after that nursing would my chances be better than applying as nursing

You might be better served, both in terms of admission to your preferred colleges and in terms of preparation to look at community college and doing really well there (if its possible). Then your high school GPA doesn’t matter so much and you can show commitment to the major through volunteering.

Remember too, that the ‘brand’ of the college doesn’t matter so much in finding employment, especially once you’ve been in the job a few years. A nurse is a nurse. You’re all qualified to the same standard. The location of the college is perhaps more important if you want to work in a particular area/city after graduation.

Nursing, like Engineering, has a prescribed path. So, if you want to be a nurse and apply as undecided (which would certainly be easier for your admission), you’ll need to take similar classes as the nursing students (biology, chemistry, math, English), get A’s, then apply to the major and know you won’t have taken some of the basic classes reserved to Nursing major, so you’ll have to graduate one or two semesters later.
Do you have enough money budgeted for an extra year?

Stop bumping if you are just going to ignore other people’s advice.
