I have a 2.6 gpa at the end of my junior year. I have dyslexia and adhd but I don't want to blame my struggles in school completely on learning disabilities. I scored a 1140 on my SAT reading and math. I am an Eagle Scout candidate and have been the principle violist in my school orchestras for the las six years. I also play baseball. I have taken AP classes. In my senior year I am taking three AP classes and am getting straight A's. I am interested in history and communications and maybe law school if I get my act together. I am really interested in politics. Can I get into a 4 year university and if so which ones would be a good match? Also what should I do now? Thanks!

Where are you from and how much can your family afford to pay?

I’m from Washington state and my family is going to have some difficulty paying for college but they can pay for some.

There are many private 4 year colleges you could attend, but they would require ability to pay. If there are some in state schools you might qualify for, they would be your lowest cost option. Don’t know WA publics though.

What are some examples of those schools

Your GPA kills you for UW (only 1% of enrolled students had GPAs in that range). Better chance at Wash State but still only 13%. I would look at some of the directional Us like Eastern Washington or a local Community College and transfer later (which would also save you $).

Paying for college is going to be an issue.

Your stats aren’t high enough for the schools that give the best aid…so you’ll be gapped at many schools.

your stats also aren’t high enough for merit scholarships.

Find out an approx amount that you can expect your parents to pay.

Also…Find out what your likely EFC will be…
Quick EFC

EFC is not the max you have to pay…It’s really just a number to find if you qualify for any free federal aid.

Likely Western Washington would be a good choice. Good academics there.
