Low Grade in Junior Year High School

Got my first C in an honors math class in Junior year (was extremely close, .01% away from a B). If I somehow get good grades senior year, will the C still look bad?

Colleges I'm applying to : Rutgers U, Pennsylvania State, Pittsburgh U, Swarthmore College, Boston College, Drexel U.

Thanks

P.S. Got a 770 on math subject test level 2, will that balance my C in math out at all?

if you’re applying early action then getting good grades senior year probably won’t change much, but i’ve heard that if you want to transfer to a different colleges, they look at your second semester senior grades.

also, a lot of colleges dont even look at sat 2s, and it probably won’t change how they look at your grades (since it’s two seperate things), but i think that one C would not affect your GPA too much.

I dont know about the other colleges, but you’re good with Penn state :)

a lot of colleges don’t look at sat ii’s? where did you hear this?

A C is not the end of the world.

Its one grade.

Trust me, you will be fine. A 770 on Math2 is really good, and they will take that into consideration, but like don’t worry about your C. No biggie at all.

Keep grindin!

I’d really only be worried about Swarthmore, but a ‘C’ isn’t going to be a deal breaker even there.

Your teacher didn’t round your grade up when you were 1/100th of a percent off? What a jerk.

Thanks for all the replies!

And yeah, I asked her and she said she wouldn’t round it up =/
