Hi, I am taking a few college courses in High school. On calculus 3, i an getting a low grade -- probally D. I took ap Cal BC test--score 5. Will cal 3 hurt my chance for college admission into

I hate to break it to you, but it probably will. Adcoms look to APs and college courses to provide valuable information about your ability to succeed in college-level classes, since (duh) that’s what you’ll be taking in college. If you did well in the AP class but are having trouble in a “real” college course, that will reflect badly.

I’m not sure. It would probably depend on the subjects and the levels - if you’re applying to MIT, Caltech, etc. they’ll want good grades in math and science especially, so if you’ve got high grades in other college math/science courses, it would help to balance things out.

When does the semester end for your college courses? You’ve still got some time to bring your calc grade up (to a C or maybe a low B), right?

Did you take the Calc 3 in college or school? If you took it in college don’t report the score. If you took it in school then you may not be able to do anything except write a letter explaining the reason why you got a poor grade.

I thought zipper meant he/she was dual-enrolled at a high school and college. Won’t both the high school grades and the grades in the college courses appear on the high school transcript?

If you cannot get rid of the bad grade, explain how much you learned from your experience, especially after having done so well in your other collge classes. Good luck, you do not need to be absolutely perfect, even for top schools.
