low grades because of mental health?

well, I've not been attending 3 of my classes for about 10 days becuase of a mental health issue. And there's also about 2 more days of classes left untill summer break. My teachers know onlywhat I've told them: that i have a "personal issue"... and thats about it. Lets suppose I get a low grade from them, a 65 or something. When it comes time for college apps. and such, and there's an eyesore of a grade, how should i explain it?
would college ppl just dismiss me as a weakling who cant handle school pressure?

Hm, not to sound offensive but did missing 10 days really drop your grades significantly?

If so, to explain the situation usually your counselor can explain it. Or your essay.

As for this:

Probably not. Everyone has unexpected events and issues at some point in time, so...

We cannot possibly provide any insight without knowing whether or not your health issue warranted a medical dispensation from your high school/district.

If you do indeed have a medical dispensation, it is likely you will be given ample time to complete the missed coursework and raise your grades accordingly, in which case your competitiveness as an applicant will not be diminished.

If you do not have a medical dispensation, you will need to explain yourself very clearly and delicately. With a truly stunning essay, stellar test scores, glowing recommendations, and divine intervention, your three Ds may yet be mitigated, though I doubt that will be the case.
