Low grades, but still got in?

I have two Cs from college courses I took in high school (classes I took from 2006-2008) which tainted my GPA quite a bit… Should I address them in my extra comments section or do you think it’d be obvious that I did poorly in high school? I don’t know if it’s really an upward trend because it was only a year ago? Ahhh.

i would address it.

the two C’s i got 4 years ago are bringing my GPA down from a 3.7 to a 3.5.
lame, huh…

I think the key is not saying so much why you got the low grades. Like PF said, you want to draw attention away from your ****ups. Focus on what you learned from the experience and not on trying to get pity and you should be in good shape. You are basically proving to them that you may have messed up in the past, but that you have taken responsibility and you are a better person/student because of it.

@PF: yeah I went from hoping for a PhD in Clinical Psychology, to an unfunded PsyD, to praying I get into a clinical MSW program. Reality is a *****. Time to bust my ass for that 3.5+ and grab all the research/internships I can XD

can someone tell me what TAP is?? if its some association between the cc and uc for a better chance to get in… is it really necessary?

[UCLA - Transfer Alliance Program](http://www.ugeducation.ucla.edu/tap/) There are agreements between other UC campuses as well. You should meet with a counselor to discuss your options, but make sure to do your own homework as counselors can sometimes hurt more than help.
