low grades in two non-required classes, will i get rescinded?

My dilemma is that I got accepted to UCI, but i'm worried of a rescind.
i have recieved a D in AP calculus first semester and now i'm in jeopardy of having a D in AP biology. Please someone, help me! WHAT SHOULD I DOOOO???

what a foolio....

go send a message to your admissions counselor.

or write them a letter telling them you got D's.

but what are my chances of being rescinded?
i'm so scared :(

i know how u feel! its the scariest feeling in the world. yeah write to ur admissions counselor for sure and good luck!!! i feel like it would be way too harsh and devastating for them to just drop you. sorry!!

Write (email) your admissions counselor. You'll get an automated response, probably. If you brought up your AP calculus grade this semester, the first semester D will probably be considered "atypical" and won't hurt you, provided you graduate. (Talk to your teachers and try hard to avoid a second D.)
If your AP test scores are 3 or higher, you should be okay.

Another thing you might do to show you aren't being a slacker is to take the course in summer school, either at UC or a community college. A passing grade (C or higher) will make up for a failing high school grade.

It's scary, but being upfront about it definitely helps. Being responsible and taking it seriously shows maturity.

thanks everyone for your support :)

but one more thing: i wanted to know what you think my chances are? is it 50-50? has anyone else been in this type of situation before?

dude, im in the same boat. I have a D, and its totally not even in a UC approved class. Anyone been in the same situation?
yeah, and what are the chances?

okay well it turns out i got a D in calc and a D in bio :(
should i call or write???

send a message on admissions.

maybe you should write them.

i dunno.

alright so i should tell them on the low grade report section right?

is there anyway u can appeal being rescinded?

if you just be honest with them and hopefully those classes dont correlate with your major

(i pray your an english major)

im undecided right now but im hoping to get into the pre-med field.

D in ap bio

don't go premed

wow. i'm so ****ed off at how uci (and maybe the whole uc system) uses automated responses to everything you send to them. plus the lady when you call the admissions office is of no help.

btw, does anyone know when they notify if you've been rescinded?

i dunno, im in the same boat too.
i mightve gotten a D in ap stat this semester, but im majoring in art & design and i already fulfilled all my credits @@
i hope they'll let us appeal?? XX
im gonna talk to my counselor though

also, paradoxical said "If your AP test scores are 3 or higher, you should be okay."
can ap score really help? im pretty sure i got a 3 or above the ap test x]

anyways good luck!

yeah but does anyone know when they send rescind notices?

I would like to know too. I got a D+ in Honors Physics this semester and feeling pretty bummed about it.

well i've been getting all the freshman orientation emails and i have confirmed housing now. am i in the clear or should i still be wary?
