Low grades

I have low grades less than 2.8 and my sat is 1300 and my act is 24 … I have choosen case western reserve as ED … but have robotics and acedemic challenge , good essay and recommendations… what are my chances …

Hate to say it, but not too high. If you don’t get in, you can always go to another college, work very hard and do well, and transfer to Case Western Reserve.

Here is the class profile for Case Western. Decide for yourself. https://case.edu/admission/academics/facts-figures

To be honest, I would say rather low. Also look at this graph https://www.thoughtco.com/case-western-reserve-gpa-sat-and-act-data-786405

Shoot your shot, application is free

@bestcasescenario Are you sure about that? The application was $75 last year

As I remember EA and ED applications used to be free at CWRU.

“Used to be” is the key phrase. It’s $70

Yep look at the facts and decide. You might have a hard time getting in…

Balance your family’s ability to pay $75 vs. regrets you would have for not trying.
If this is your reach school, I would say go for it. If this is one of many reach schools, then whittle your list to more safeties and matches and pick one or two reach schools to go for.

@bopper my son is solid in the blue area of your graph, an eagle scout, lead in robotics team for all 4 years, excellent recommendations from teachers, coaches, etc. Would you say this is a good sign?

Seems reasonable to me!
