Low high school GPA & test scores, good extracurriculars. Where can I go?

GPA: 3.58 (weighted high school)
3.5 CSU GPA
3.75 /4.0 at Saddleback College or a

4.75/5.0 at Saddleback College (colleges weight depending on where)
ACT: 24, but 25 superscored. Not retaking
SAT: 1690, 580 CR, 530 Math, 580 W. Not retaking
3 AP classes: AP english language & composition (3 on ap test), AP environmental (2 on ap test), and I’m taking AP literature now
5 college courses at a community college: history of film and cinema (A), sociology (A), psychology (B), real estate (current), biological anthropology (current)
3 years of a foreign language
2 years of writing for the high school newspaper

SDSU/Chapman/USF/UCSC: High Match
SLO: Low Reach
USC/UCI/UCD/UCSB: Reach

I see no safeties on your list. I would drop one or two of the UC’s and add a CSU safety such as SFSU/Sac State.
You have excellent EC’s which should help you at the privates but will not make up for the low GPA/Test scores for the UC’s.

Thank you! I considered SJSU as my safety school. Do you not think so? The minimum eligibility index for public relations at SJSU is 3700 (SAT) and 900 (ACT), and my EI is 3910 (SAT) and 940 (ACT).

@collegequartz: Yes SJSU would be a good safety school based on your EI’s. I think you have too many Reach schools on your list and you need some solid match schools. I am only familiar with the California schools and only vaguely aware of the reputations of the OOS schools but if you are in need of FA, your best chances would be in-state schools. UT Austin is a notoriously difficult admit as an OOS applicant.
