Low high school gpa

Hi
I graduated from a private high school(not the good ones) with relatively low gpa (a long story+lack of luck in school life).
Now I’m undergrad Freshman but I wonder if I have a chance to transfer to better college…
Or should I better count on grad school

Depends upon how you are doing at your current college, when you plan to transfer and if the transfer college considers your HS record in their admisions decision. The longer you stay at your current college, the less important your HS record becomes.

I am in the same situation. My current University is a massive Southern school that I can not stand. I am applying for spring transfers to schools and would pretty much do anything to get out of this place. Hoping to hear in a week.

Some students do exactly that, transferring to a stronger or different school either after one year or after two years.

It is important to maintain a very high GPA in university in order to improve your chances. Attend all classes. Pay attention at all times. Keep well ahead on your homework (if possible do it the day that it is assigned). Learning good study skills now will make transferring much more likely, and will also help you do better after you transfer.

Also, think quite hard about where you want to transfer to. You only should transfer if you find a school that is a significantly better fit.
