low income=higher admit chances?

I just discovered I'm low income. How do colleges know that you're low income? What if they reviewed your application before they got your financial aid app?

How do you inform colleges that you're low income?

Sorry, I sound desperate. I can't let go of anything that might give me an extra edge. It's just that never in my life did I realize that our family was low income. I wasted all that money on useless college apps and AP exams. Can you believe it? When-I qualfied for fee waiver.

Sad marketing skill?

For those who are below seniors, know yourself inside out before you apply.

Honestly, if you just "discovered" you're low-income, it really doesn't (and shouldn't) help you in admissions. Obviously you haven't experience any difficulties, as you yourself just stated that you just "discovered" the fact that you might be labeled "low-income". Low-income status only helps if it shows you've overcome some type of adversity or challenges, which you sound like you clearly have not.

Also, at this point decisions are pretty much completed. Relax, any attempt at increasing your chances NOW is pretty much useless. Just have a little patience.
