Low interest federal loans need FAFSA form?

I do not qualify for financial aid. However, I would like to take advantage of the low interest federal loans. Do I need to fill out FAFSA and CSS profile to obtain these loans?

Only Fafsa. CSS is used by the schools for their grant awards while Fafsa is federal

See [Applying for Federal Direct Loans](http://www.direct.ed.gov/applying.html)

If I want no other aid except for the low interest federal loans, there is no rush for me to file my FAFSA. Correct? I am under the impression that everyone qualifies for these loans regardless of income.

It’s correct for Federal Direct Loans. However, you may want to file FAFSA early for Perkins Loans which is another low interest federal loan.
