I went into junior year with an average UW GPA of about 3.84-ish. Coming out, I dropped to a 3.57-ish with a 3.14 followed by a 2.83. With a 2010 SAT and pretty strong EC's and AP's, what are my chances of getting into a "good" school?
I had plenty of problems junior year, and given the rumors, I'm worried that the year's GPA may have already "ruined" me. Both personal and professional issues have continually nailed me and I feel as if I've come out of the perfect storm, so to speak.
Advice please?
If it helps, my goal school is Purdue.

What did you get on your SAT / ACT and what / how many AP classes did you take?

I’m kind of in the same position with a 3.1 GPA, but I got slammed Sophomore year, not Junior.

But looking at just your GPA, Purdue might be tough, but I could be wrong.

2010 SAT SS
5 AP’s-I have yet to find out the scores.
Honors classes here and there every year as well

bump anyone?

Your GPA is still good but the fact that it dropped so low because of your Junior year could throw red flags to college admission officials. But your pretty much good for Purdue with your stats unless they see downward trend as really bad. I don’t know why so many people say Purdue is tough, maybe for Engineering but overall its not that hard to get into.

Anyone else? I’d appreciate more input. I’m worried.

Purdue might be a bit hard…

Your weak point is that your grades dropped junior year, which is the worst year to have low grades. Do well on your first semester senior year and write good essays, you might have a shot…
