College in the schools French, so I am technically enrolled in French 1003 at the University of Minnesota and will be enrolled in French 1004 next year.
When I graduate I will have studied french for 5 years.

Otherwise all of my other classes have always been advanced.

when I graduate I will have done this program for 6 years
I have been the vice president of the Economic and Social Council (10th)
I will be the president of the Economic and Social Council this year
Have attended NUMEROUS leadership retreats associated with the program
I have been on the Student Lead State Steering committee which pretty much makes the decisions on how Minnesota Youth in Government programs will be run for 2 years, hopefully a third next year

Attended the Minnesota Institute of Talented Youth in the summer before my 9th grade year--it is a summer program held at Macalester College (I don't know if this is too early to include on Apps)

Pretty Confident that I can get great Recommendations

Definitely want to major in some variant of biological sciences...mostly like molecular biology. (but definitely not just straight up Bio or anything with ecology/plants)
I adore colleges which are located closely to large metropolitan areas, and do not want to be in the middle of nowhere. I really don't have any financial constraints, but any $$ would be great.

I would like to find some schools which would be low matches and safeties, which would preferably not have a rigorous core curriculum. For reaches and matches I have on the radar: Tulane, Madison, Brandeis, Boston University (match) Case Western, Michigan, University of Rochester (high match?) WashU, Brown (reach).

If there are any more colleges I should be looking at, please let me know regardless of admissions possibility.

Thanks for your time!
Danny

Danny, You have a good list developing, and, if the information you’ve provided is correct, it is a fairly reasonable one.

Assuming you are interested in mid-sized universities you might want to also look at: Emory, University of Miami, Johns Hopkins, Northwestern U, Rice, Vanderbilt, and Tufts. None of these are “done deals” but all would be solid choices for your interests.

In addition, here are some other schools you might want to check out to round out your list (not all are mid-sized universities):

Wesleyan University, Rensselear Polytechnic Institute, Vassar College, Carleton College, Grinnell College, Bucknell University, Lehigh University, Case Western Reserve, Oberlin.

Some safer bets: Syracuse University, Worcester Polytech, Northeastern U, Oxford College of Emory University, Lawrence University, Trinity University (San Antonio), Baylor University. Purdue, Indiana University Bloomington

Good luck!

NYU, George Washington, Clark U.

bumppppp please I would like some more…

Look at Patriot League colleges: Colgate, Bucknell, Lehigh, Lafayette, America, etal. Small LACs with Division 1 athletics and admissions stats like yours.

[The Patriot League - Official Athletic Site](http://patriotleague.cstv.com/)

hmmmm… good job… Me too being in a similar position, and living in Minnesota, it can’t hurt to apply to the U. U of M would be a decent fall back? Its really your preference, but I have a good mix of safeties with the U of M since im almost sure to get in.

If you are open to LACs, I think you should consider Haverford, Wesleyan, Trinity, and Swarthmore.

eh Rochester isnt necessarily a match, they are iffy, they are spectacular college, try to visit

^^Sorry I forgot the title of your post when I wrote… at least three (Haverford, Wesleyan, and Swarthmore) of those LACs I mentioned above would definitely be reaches.

Trinity, Occidental, and Macalester would be high match.

Sorry for not reading more carefully, the first time.
