Hey everyone,

I am applying ED to Wharton with an 800 math sat reasoning but 710 sat subject test math level II.

Assuming the rest of my application is strong, and I have gotten all A's in math classes, from algebra II to ap calculus, (5 on AP calc as well), how much does my low math 2 score hurt me? Is it worth it to apply RD instead in order to retake math 2? I feel I can get an 800 easily just messed up due to not studying enough.

For what it’s worth, I heard directly from the Dean of Admissions (at a pretty small meeting for prospective students) that Penn puts less weight on the SAT’s when compared with other aspects of your application. He basically said that they realize the SAT is a pretty small snapshot of how you do on a standardized scale–it’s not the end-all of the Penn app. If you have confidence in the quality of your EC’s, grades, esssays, recs, etc, then I’d say apply ED.
Good luck!
