Chances for UCLA, UC Berkeley, UCSD, UCD, UCI, Georgia Tech, and USC please?
uve done all this shit. i say dont worry about it ull be fine either way
You’ve got a good shot at UCI and UCD.
UCB and UCLA are reach schools.
Hope you’ve written very good essays!
All the best
UCI/UCD: Match
UCSD; High Match
UCLA/UCB: Low Reach
@elysium305 @Gumbymom How about USC? I heard they don’t consider SAT score as much, but I’m not quite sure…
Thank you for your inputs!
I personally think you have a good shot at all of them. USC doesn’t seem to take sat’s into consideration as much or put a ton of weight on it. My friend got in with a 1730. Another alumni from my hs got into berkeley with an 1800
Actually for USC, my understanding is that they do put a huge emphasis on SAT/ACT scores. I think USC would be a High Match.
@bboyinmartin You should be good. But if you’ve taken college differential equations, shouldn’t you have a 800 in SAT1 math.
SAT math has an insane curve - I’m surprised one wrong answer only cost OP 30 points.
It isn’t that uncommon for extremely advanced students to miss a few questions on SAT I math because it’s so easy they barely pay attention. A friend who’s taking math his teachers don’t fully understand (and excelling at it) got a 700.
You will get into 90% of those schools. No worries
@HollaChalla I missed an easy question in numbers & operations section lol. I guess I took SAT too lightly
That SAT might cost you at UCLA and Berkeley, both of which place a large emphasis on test scores (less so on extracurriculars). Still, you’ve got a great GPA with impressive course rigor, so I think you’re competitive at all the schools you listed. Good luck!
If you plan on doing marching band at USC you have a good chance.
It surprises me when people say, my friend got in with a 1700. Either, they are athletes, URMs, or from the local recruiting area, or are in band. The majority of students have to perform well on the tests because that information transfers to performing adequately in university level coursework.
SATs and ACTs seem to be a lot more important to gigantic public schools like the UCs, so I mainly agree with everyone else in that you have a good shot at UCI, UCD. Others will be slightly reach though.
