Where are you applying to? And if Lit is the only other test, it might hurt. Most colleges look at the best 2 scores, so if you have no other test, they'll look at lit and spanish

im applying to boston u, university of maryland - college park, american u, goucher college, bucknell u, bryn mawr, dickinson college

Ok.......... I have no idea about any of those colleges. If they say they require SAT IIs (and if you feel like your SAT IIs could keep you out), then I would try to take another test. Like I said, if you have a 3rd, they would probably overlook Spanish.

i guess these colleges don't "require" the SAT 2. So take the test again or simply don't send your SAT 2 scores.

rob33, SAT score reports are cumulative so all scores (both reasoning and subject tests) are included.

I don't honestly remember which of these scores require SAT IIs and which don't. At a school that requires SAT IIs, your chances will be hurt some, largely because they will wonder why you didn't take another test in a stronger subject. As someone else posted, the problem in this case is not so much the low score in itself; it's that you have only one solid SAT II score.

Still, your CR and W are high for most of those schools, which will help. And I think that Dickinson doesn't require SATs at all (??) which makes me think that their admissions office probably doesn't put much weight on test scores relative to the rest of your application.

If you are thinking of LACs, why not broaden your search to include other LACs that don't require SAT scores? There are several good ones.

You are fine with those schools and scores. You should not have anything to worry about.

Sorry to hijack your thread. But what would you think of a 690 Japanese with Listening?
